Tiffin Box Recipe 4 - Poha Upma

Required Items:
  • Poha or Rice flakes - 2 cups
  • Onion - 1 large
  • Musturd seeds - 1/2 sp
  • Chana dhal - 1 sp
  • Jeera - 1/2 sp
  • Urad dhal - 1/2 sp
  • Green Chillis - 2

Method:

  1. Put 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add musard seeds, chana dal, zeera, urad dal & green chillis. Fry all items for 1 minute.
  2. Wash and drain poha.
  3. Now add poha and fry for some time.
  4. Remove the pan from the stove and serve it in our tiffin box.

Fried Rice and Kurma

Required Items for Fried Rice:
  • Carrot - 1 big
  • Green piece - 1/2 cup
  • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1 spoon
  • Salt - 1 spoon

Method:

  1. Cut carrot in to small pieces and fry them in a pan for 2 min in ghee along with green piece.
  2. Add rice and fry for 1 more min.
  3. Put all the above items in Rice cooker and add salt.

Required items for Aloo kurma:

  • Dhaniyalu - 1 spoon
  • Jeera - 1 spoon
  • Elachi - 3
  • Cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch
  • Cloves - 3
  • Channa dhal - 1/4 cup
  • Red chillies - 4
  • Ginger Garlic - 1 spoon
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup

Fry the above items in one tsp ghee. And grind them.

  • Potatoes - 3 big(boiled)
  • Onions - 1 large
  • Greenpiece - 1/4 cup
  • Tomato - 1 small

Method:

  1. Put oil in a pan,in that add onions ,potatoes and greenpiece.
  2. Then add the above grinded paste and fry it well.
  3. Now add tomato.
  4. Finally garnish with coriander.
